Glenn Hughes rehearsals at Quad Studios

It was a great pleasure for Quad Studios to host a two day rehearsal for the Glenn Hughes Band.

Glenn's history with Deep Purple and as a Solo artist is legendary; THE Voice of Rock is no idle boast. IMHO stand out tracks from the rehearsal included "Mistreated", the 'ld Purple classic, The Valiant Denial off the new album as well as Orion and Don't let me Bleed off "Soul Mover".

Glenn used the Theatre room with a house Soundcraft monitor desk and Axys wedges as well as an in ear mix too. Jeff Kollman (guitar) made good use of Marshall JCM 800 & 900 stacks which he choose after demoing from our extensive range of amps. He also routed a reverbed & delayed signal to a Fender Deluxe for added depth and colour. Anders (keys) and Mark (drums) brought their own kit which after we mic'd them both up fitted neatly into the set up. A revelation was Glenn's Mark bass rig ( http://www.markbass.it/) supplied by Paulo from Proel UK. As well as being incredibly light the sound was very good and the amp extremely versatile!
